iMac with “iPad Pro design language” may be announced at WWDC this year
According to Sonny Dickson leaker, a completely new iMac model will most likely appear at the end of the month, and this will be one of the many announced Apple’s at the annual WWDC event.
The new iMac will have a thinner screen border, with the design looking quite similar to Apple’s Pro Display XDR screen. It will also abandon the traditional rotating hard drive to replace with SSDS, and for the first time, the Apple T2 security chip will be brought to an iMac.
iMac is a rare computer series that has been neglected by Apple, beginning to have the expression of “old-aged”. In terms of the framework design, the last iMac was overhauled in 2012 with the shell “squeeze” only 5mm thick. But this design point can only be seen when you’re looking from the side of the machine. As seen from the front, the iMac’s design remains unchanged compared to… Decades ago.
In the context of Apple has moved to products such as the iPhone X and iPad Pro 2018, the thick black screen border and the iMac “chin” metal look really obsolete. It seems that the iMac finally came up with the new wing with modern industrial design that Apple is using for its last time hardware products.
Leaker Dickson also said that Apple’s all-in-one computer would have significant internal configuration changes, including the new model Navi GPU from AMD and the passing of rotating hard drives (including Apple’s proprietary Fusion Drive combo).
And for the first time, Apple T2’s handler will be on Mac. Though Apple has sold a number of Mac and SSD in the past, this machine has never been touched by the use of the T2 chip used by its standard disk. Chip T2 will allow speed to read and fast data, along with all other secure interests.
Also, according to the beginning of today, Apple is prepared to announce the course of Mac’s computer from CPU to CPU ARM. However, the first Mac’s computers won’t be able to use CPU Intel will not appear immediately but wait until five 2021, and it’s likely a laptop with a similar MacBook Air.
If the top information is correct, it seems the Apple’s intention to be equipped to handle ARM’s ARM sync to Mac rather than before the Mac machines start to switch to CPU ARM in any other activities.
WWDC has now become a major festival for Apple fans. At this year’s event, the company will most likely announce new versions of the operating system, including iOS 14, watchOS 7, macOS 10.16, and tvOS 14.
These operating systems can be equipped with a few new technologies, such as the ability to allow users to choose the default email app as you wish if you don’t like using Apple Mail. The iOS Home screen can also have a new display mode of the list.
Some new announcements related services will also be Apple announced, such as audio articles in Apple News +, and service packs (bundles) which include Music/News +/TV +/Arcade at a discounted rate.
All the announcements as mentioned above will be done through the new WWDC format, completely online: This is the first time Apple organizes the entire WWDC event in the form of virtualization by COVID-19 epidemic. Although the company has not officially confirmed the date of the organization, most likely everything will begin on Monday, 22/6.
